Puja at Seven Shrines, Dharma Flag on Ram Mandir Shikhar
The Dharma flag was raised atop the Ram Mandir shikhar at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir complex in Ayodhya, a momentous and spiritually charged ceremony. The elaborate rituals of the ceremony began with a special puja at the seven temples (Sapt Mandir), proceeded to the recitation of mantras in the Ram Darbar, and ended with the hoisting of the grand flag.
From early morning, the temple complex resonated with devotion and celebration. Vedic priests performed special rituals at the seven shrines, including kalash sthapana, havan and continuous recitation of sacred mantras. This was followed by puja in the Ram Darbar before the idols of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman and Lord Hanuman, accompanied by aarti and traditional offerings. The atmosphere echoed with the sounds of conch shells, bells, drums and chants of “Jai Shri Ram”.
