Filmmaker Milap Zaveri revealed details about the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) verdict, the film’s vibe, and its leading trio in an exclusive interview ahead of his eagerly anticipated comeback, Mastiii 4.
Milap praised his long-time partners Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, calling them the “Amar, Akbar, Anthony of comedy,” emphasising their flawless comedic timing and sparkling chemistry. He claims that the three actors give the franchise, which already has a cult following among comedy enthusiasts, the ideal balance of insanity, charm, and nostalgia.
According to Zaveri, Mastiii 4 aims to keep things interesting for the current audience while maintaining the light-hearted, slightly crazy tone for which the series is renowned. The combined energy of these three is unparalleled. You don’t need a laugh track when Riteish, Vivek, and Aftab are on set because the crew turns into the audience, he joked.
Milap finally spoke out on the hotly debated topic of CBFC cuts. He disclosed that the movie has undergone very few cuts, defying rumours of severe censorship. He praised the Censor Board for being fair and understanding of the film’s humorous tone, saying, “The film has got very few cuts; kudos to the Censor Board.” He claims that the certification procedure preserved the film’s essential flavour by respecting the harmony between mass entertainment and clean fun.
Expectations for Mastiii 4 are extremely high now that the three are back together and Zaveri has promised an all-out show. The “Amar, Akbar, Anthony of comedy” fans are excited to see what new mayhem the film will bring to the big screen this time.
