Ek Chatur Naar Movie 2025: Neil Nitin, Divya Khosla in Dark Comedy

Must read

Bollywood is gearing up for one of its quirkiest releases of 2025 — Ek Chatur Naar, a black comedy thriller directed by Umesh Shukla, best known for OMG – Oh My God!. Featuring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Divya Khosla Kumar in lead roles, the film is slated to hit theatres on 12 September 2025.

A Quirky Title with a Nostalgic Twist

The film’s title draws inspiration from the cult classic song “Ek Chatur Naar Karke Sringar” from the 1968 comedy Padosan. However, instead of a light-hearted romantic comedy, this modern version takes a darker and wittier route, blending suspense, humor, and mind games.

Plot & Characters

Divya Khosla Kumar plays Mamta Mishra, a woman whose innocent charm conceals a sharp and cunning mind. Opposite her, Neil Nitin Mukesh essays Abhishek Verma, a man caught in a web of wit, deception, and blackmail. Their clash promises to deliver both laughter and nail-biting tension.

Supporting actors include Chhaya Kadam, Sushant Singh, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Heli Daruwala, and Rajneesh Duggal, each adding depth to the story’s quirky universe.

Teaser & Trailer Response

  • The motion posters, unveiled earlier this month, sparked buzz with their intriguing imagery — including a knife over a finger and a ponytail transforming into a snake.

  • The teaser, released on 21 August, set the tone with Ravi Kishan’s dramatic voice-over, blending humor and suspense.

  • The official trailer, dropped on 25 August, further raised expectations, highlighting the cat-and-mouse dynamics between Divya and Neil.

Why It Stands Out

With Umesh Shukla at the helm and a strong creative team including writers Himanshu Tripathi and Jay Master, Ek Chatur Naar promises to be more than just a comedy—it’s a clever blend of dark humor, mystery, and satire.

Release

Ek Chatur Naar is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 12 September 2025 under Merry Go Round Studios in association with T-Series.
