Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Series: New Galaxy Book 6, Book 6 Pro and Book 6 Ultra bring faster performance, AI features and premium displays

Samsung has announced that its latest Galaxy Book 6 series of laptops will be available in the United States starting March 11, 2026. The lineup was officially unveiled at CES 2026 last month and went on sale in South Korea shortly after. With a refreshed design, powerful new processors and enhanced AI capabilities, Samsung is positioning the Galaxy Book 6 series as a strong contender in the premium Windows laptop market.

Galaxy Book 6 Series: Models and US Pricing

The new lineup consists of three models — Galaxy Book 6, Galaxy Book 6 Pro, and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra — catering to a wide range of users, from everyday professionals to power users and creators.

  • Galaxy Book 6: Starting at $1,049.99

  • Galaxy Book 6 Pro: Starting at $1,599.99

  • Galaxy Book 6 Ultra: Starting at $2,449.99

Customers in the US can begin reserving the laptops now through Samsung’s official website. Early reservations come with a $30 bonus credit, and Samsung is also offering trade-in credits of up to $900 on eligible devices. The laptops will additionally be available through major retailers, including Best Buy, on the official launch date.

Display Sizes and Design

The Galaxy Book 6 and Galaxy Book 6 Pro will be offered in 14-inch and 16-inch display variants, while the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra will be available exclusively in a 16-inch configuration. Samsung says the new models feature a refined chassis design that is slimmer and lighter, without compromising durability.

Both the Pro and Ultra variants come with QD-OLED displays offering QHD+ resolution, up to 1,000 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC coating, which reduces glare and improves outdoor visibility.

Performance and AI Capabilities

All Galaxy Book 6 models are powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake) processors from Intel. Each laptop ships with a minimum of 16GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and fast performance.

The devices run Windows 11 and feature a built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) designed to support on-device AI tasks, including advanced features from Microsoft’s Copilot+ platform. This allows users to take advantage of AI-powered productivity, creative tools and real-time assistance without relying heavily on cloud processing.

Graphics and Cooling

Graphics performance varies across the lineup. The Galaxy Book 6 Pro uses integrated Intel Arc graphics, while the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra is available in two configurations — one with Intel Arc graphics and another with dedicated Nvidia RTX GPUs, including RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 options from Nvidia.

To handle the added power, Samsung has completely redesigned the cooling system. The new laptops feature upgraded cooling fans and a larger vapor chamber to deliver better thermal performance, even during intensive workloads such as video editing or gaming.

Battery, Audio and Connectivity

Battery life is another key focus. The 14-inch Galaxy Book 6 Pro packs a 67.18Wh battery, while the 16-inch model includes a 78.97Wh battery, both supporting 65W fast charging. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra comes with an 80.2Wh battery, supporting 100W charging, or up to 140W charging on models with Nvidia graphics.

Audio has also been improved, with a quad-speaker system on the Pro and a six-speaker setup on the Ultra. Both feature a 2MP webcam, fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

With the Galaxy Book 6 series, Samsung aims to combine premium hardware, AI-driven software and long battery life, making it a compelling option for users seeking high-end Windows laptops in 2026.
