The essence of humanity today seems to be fading away from many hearts. When division, hatred, and hostility are spreading like poison in the name of religion — there still exist some people who love human beings, not religion. Their love knows no boundaries, and it does not distinguish between faith or caste. One such person is the Hindu spiritual leader, Premananda Maharaj Ji.
At present, Premananda Maharaj Ji is seriously ill. It is known that he is suffering from a kidney disease and is under medical treatment. As soon as this news came out, the Muslim society of India has set a unique example.
Across the country, in mosque after mosque, people are praying for his recovery, and many Muslim brothers have expressed their willingness to donate their kidneys to him.
This very incident proves that Islam is not merely a religion of rituals; Islam is a religion of humanity. It teaches that “every life is valuable.”
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an —
> “Whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all of humanity.”
— (Surah Al-Ma’idah, 5:32)
And the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said —
> “Love for your brother what you love for yourself.”
— (Sahih al-Bukhari)
From this we understand that at the core of Islam lies love, mercy, and compassion. A true Muslim never hates; rather, he desires goodness for all mankind.
Premananda Maharaj Ji never created division in the name of religion, never spoke harshly against people of other faiths. Instead, he always delivered messages of unity, peace, and human love.
His words have never carried the poison of politics, but rather, the fragrance of love and harmony.
That is why today Muslims are saying —
> “There are many Hindu spiritual leaders, but it is truly rare to find a man as compassionate, broad-hearted, and neutral as Premananda Maharaj Ji.”
Just as Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Sahib was never hated by any Hindu, in the same way, Premananda Maharaj Ji is never hated by any Muslim. Because both of them were messengers of humanity.
Today, from every minaret of the mosques and from the hearts of every believer, one prayer rises —
> “I, Muhammad Saud Siddique, on behalf of Furfura Darbar Sharif, humbly appeal in the Court of the Almighty:
Grant Premananda Maharaj Ji complete recovery, bless his life with barakah (divine grace), and grant him more ability to serve humanity.”
To be a true human being, it is not enough to just have a title like ‘Mawlana’ or ‘Maharaj’ before one’s name — there must be the light of humanity within the heart.
Premananda Maharaj Ji has lit that very light — through his actions, through his love, and through his real-life example of religious harmony.
Though he is ill, the path he has shown remains healthy and illuminated in our society.
