Poco has officially launched its latest smartphone lineup in India under the Poco X8 Pro series, introducing three models: Poco X8 Pro Max, Poco X8 Pro, and a special Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition. The new series brings powerful hardware, advanced features, and premium design elements, targeting users looking for high-performance smartphones in the mid-to-premium segment.
The Poco X8 Pro Max stands out as the top-tier model in the lineup, powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. It is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast performance and efficient multitasking. On the other hand, the Poco X8 Pro is equipped with the Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor, delivering solid performance for everyday usage and gaming.
Both devices run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, offering a smooth and optimized user experience right out of the box. Poco has focused heavily on battery performance this time, with the X8 Pro Max featuring a massive 9,000 mAh battery, making it one of the largest in its segment. Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Pro packs a 6,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery.
In terms of charging, both models support 100W HyperCharge, allowing users to quickly power up their devices. Additionally, the series supports 27W reverse wired charging, enabling the phones to act as power sources for other devices.
Display-wise, the Poco X8 Pro Max features a large 6.83-inch panel, while the Poco X8 Pro comes with a slightly smaller 6.59-inch display. Both screens offer up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. The X8 Pro Max also includes dual symmetrical speakers with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support, enhancing the multimedia experience.
Design is another key highlight of the series. Both devices feature a premium metal frame and a racetrack-inspired camera module. Poco has also introduced dynamic RGB lighting with seven customizable lighting effects. These effects respond to notifications, charging status, gaming activity, music playback, and camera usage, adding a unique visual appeal.
Durability is also a strong focus, with both models offering comprehensive protection through IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, making them resistant to dust and water under extreme conditions.
On the camera front, both smartphones come with a 50 MP main camera and a 20 MP front camera. The Poco X8 Pro Max uses the Light Fusion 600 sensor, while the Poco X8 Pro features the Sony IMX882 sensor, promising detailed and high-quality photography.
The Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition is a special variant inspired by Iron Man’s iconic black-and-gold armor. It features a unique design with golden accents and a flash module styled like an Arc Reactor, making it a collector’s item for Marvel fans.
In terms of pricing, the Poco X8 Pro starts at ₹32,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB/512GB model is priced at ₹35,999. The Poco X8 Pro Max is priced at ₹42,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant and ₹46,999 for the 12GB/512GB version. The Iron Man Edition is available at ₹37,999 for the 12GB/256GB configuration.
The Poco X8 Pro Max will be available in White, Black, and Blue colors, while the Poco X8 Pro comes in Black, White, and Green. All models will go on sale starting March 23 via Flipkart.
