Fans of veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The 88-year-old “He-Man of Bollywood,” who was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier this week, is now stable and responding well to treatment, according to family sources. The update comes after days of concern and speculation about his health.
His daughter, actress Esha Deol, took to social media on Tuesday morning to share the good news, writing, “Papa is recovering well and under good medical care. Thank you all for your love and prayers.” She also urged media outlets to avoid spreading misinformation. Dharmendra’s wife, Hema Malini, echoed the sentiment, confirming that the veteran actor is on the path to recovery.
Throughout the week, the Deol residence in Mumbai saw several visitors, including industry colleagues and family members such as Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Tanya Deol. A spokesperson for the family clarified that Dharmendra was not on a ventilator and was being monitored by specialists as a precautionary measure. “Mr. Dharmendra is stable. We thank everyone for their prayers and concern,” the spokesperson said.
Known for his iconic roles in Sholay, Phool Aur Patthar, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Seeta Aur Geeta, Dharmendra continues to be one of the most beloved figures in Indian cinema. Fans from across the country have flooded social media with heartfelt messages, wishing him a speedy recovery and celebrating his contribution to Hindi cinema.
