Set To Finish Below Ajay Devgan’s Disaster Son Of Sardaar 2
Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie released on August 14, 2025 and has quickly scaled major milestones across India and overseas, entering the ₹200 crore club in India by Day 5 and nearing ₹375 crore worldwide over its extended opening frame. Multiple trade updates through the day reported a strong all-languages run despite the first weekday dip.
Coolie: Hindi box office day-wise numbers and Monday fall
The Hindi version, however, continues to underperform. Day-wise net collections (approx.) are as follows:
Thursday, August 14: ₹4 crore Friday, August 15: ₹6 crore Saturday, August 16: ₹4 crore Sunday, August 17: ₹4 crore Monday, August 18: ₹1.50 crore Total: ₹19.50 crore nett approx.
The film underscored a steep weekday slide after a modest weekend. Ajay Devgan starrer Son Of Sardaar 2 collected 42 crore net lifetime in Hindi and Coolie will finish under 30 crore net. This is shocking number for such a big film.
Coolie: Clash and competition shaped early Hindi trends
The film released in a high-stakes window alongside War 2, which itself posted a heavyweight extended weekend and crossed ₹180 crore by Day 5 across India. This clash, combined with limited Hindi momentum for Coolie, put pressure on screens and show timings in the North and West circuits.
While Coolie is a clear winner in Tamil and other South markets and has crossed ₹200 crore in India by Monday across all languages, the Hindi version’s weekday collapse is stark.
With Monday at about ₹1.50 crore and a five-day Hindi tally hovering near ₹19.50 to ₹20 crore, the version’s lifetime is currently tracking in the mid-30s to ₹40 crore range, according to early estimates.
