The second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 is currently underway, with a voter turnout of 31.38% recorded by 11 a.m., according to the Election Commission of India (ECI). Voting is being held across 122 constituencies in about 20 districts, marking the last leg of polling in the State.
In the first phase held on November 6, Bihar recorded its highest-ever voter turnout of 64.66% across 121 constituencies in 18 districts. The second phase covers key regions such as Magadh, Mithilanchal, Seemanchal, Shahabad, and Tirhut. Out of the total 122 seats, 101 are general, 19 reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), and two for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
Polling is taking place at 45,399 polling stations, with 5,326 in urban and 40,073 in rural areas. Over 2.28 crore voters aged between 30 and 60 years are eligible to vote, while 7.69 lakh voters belong to the 18–19 age group. Additionally, 1.75 crore women voters are participating in this phase.
A total of 1,302 candidates are contesting in this final round. Meanwhile, bypolls are also being held in Budgam and Nagrota (J&K), Anta (Rajasthan), Ghatshila (Jharkhand), Jubilee Hills (Telangana), Tarn Taran (Punjab), Dampa (Mizoram), and Nuapada (Odisha).
