As campaigning for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 concludes, both the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition Mahagathbandhan are holding high-energy rallies across the state. Top political leaders—including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta—are leading the NDA’s campaign, while Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, and other INDIA bloc leaders such as AIMIM and Jan Suraj Party are addressing large gatherings.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also interact virtually with BJP’s women workers in Bihar under the “Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot” initiative. In his post on X, Modi praised Bihar’s women for their “extraordinary energy and commitment” toward ensuring the NDA’s victory in the upcoming elections.
On Monday, top leaders including Modi, Amit Shah, Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, and Priyanka Gandhi addressed rallies across the state. Modi accused Congress of being compelled to project RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav as the opposition’s CM face, while Shah claimed that the INDIA bloc would be “wiped out” on November 14. Kharge, on the other hand, highlighted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s absence from Modi’s rallies, alleging that the BJP would not reinstate him as CM. Priyanka Gandhi asserted that under the NDA government, “Bihar has no voice,” and that even the Chief Minister plays no role in key decisions.
The NDA manifesto focuses on job creation, education, health care, and women’s empowerment, promising 1 crore jobs and MSP guarantees for farmers. The Mahagathbandhan’s ‘Tejashwi Pratigya Pran’ pledges a government job for one member of every family, ₹2,500 monthly support for women, and a halt to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill.
