Awarapan 2 sees Emraan Hashmi revive his iconic style as he shoots with Disha Patani in viral BTS video
Awarapan 2: There is a BTS video doing the rounds from the shooting of Awarapan 2, which has created a huge stir among people on social media platforms. This viral video shows Emraan Hashmi wearing an outfit reminiscent of his much-loved character ‘Shivam’ in the cult hit film of 2007.
The most interesting thing about the video is the vintage look of Emraan Hashmi. His long hair, along with his casual vibe, makes him appear like he has emerged right out of the first film’s time period. People have also noticed that not much has changed in him even after so many years since the movie was released.
In addition to all this hype, there’s also Disha Patani, who has been spotted along with Hashmi in the BTS video. It seems like the two actors are shooting a road scene, and from what the chemistry between them is like, their pairing has left fans hopeful about what the movie has to offer.
From the moment it was announced, people have had a lot of expectations from Awarapan 2. Not only does the first part of the movie have a fan following due to its emotional aspect and gripping storylines but it’s also known for some brilliant music. The story and dialogues have been written by Bilal Siddiqi. The film is produced by Vishesh Films Production House, owned by Mahesh Bhatt and Vishesh Bhatt.
There has been a development on another front as well. It was earlier believed that the film would be released on April 3, 2026. But now, according to reports, the film has been delayed. According to sources, the film will now have its theatrical release on August 15, 2026, which marks India’s Independence Day. Nevertheless, an official announcement in this regard is awaited.
It is reported that shooting of the film commenced in September 2025 with muhurat shots. Since then, news about the progress of the film has kept coming from the set. The recent behind-the-scenes video is one such example.
However, for Emraan Hashmi, Awarapan happens to be a milestone film in his career life because of the character that he played that resonated well with the audiences. Coming back to the nostalgic theme, as well as playing a similar character in the sequel, is an intelligent move, especially given the success of the film in the past.
Audiences will obviously be setting high hopes from Awarapan 2. Firstly, fans will be expecting the sequel to have the same emotions as the predecessor.
