PM Modi accuses Congress of misleading people, urges BJP workers to strengthen grassroots connect in Assam

Narendra Modi on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Congress while interacting with BJP workers in Assam under the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot’ outreach programme. Addressing party workers through the NaMo App, the Prime Minister said that the opposition party had a history of misleading people through agreements that were never implemented on the ground.

During the interaction, PM Modi described himself as a dedicated party worker and said he continues to fulfill every responsibility assigned to him with sincerity. He appreciated the efforts of BJP workers in Assam and urged them to strengthen their presence at the booth level, emphasizing that strong grassroots work is essential not only to break voting records but also to secure historic victories.

Highlighting the importance of direct public engagement, the Prime Minister encouraged party workers to communicate effectively with people and spread awareness about the Centre’s welfare schemes. He also pointed out that in some opposition-ruled states like West Bengal, several central schemes were either delayed or blocked, depriving citizens of their rightful benefits. In contrast, he said BJP-ruled states have ensured smoother implementation and faster development.

Taking aim at the Congress, PM Modi alleged that the party used agreements merely as tools for publicity. “Congress made agreements only to grab headlines and mislead people. Once in power, they ignored these commitments, leaving youth to suffer and pushing regions toward instability,” he said. He contrasted this with the BJP’s approach, claiming that his government has worked with honesty and dedication to implement peace agreements on the ground.

The Prime Minister further noted that states like Assam have witnessed significant improvements in peace and development over the past decade due to consistent and sincere efforts by the government. He credited this progress to the BJP’s commitment to stability and long-term growth.

Focusing on the role of technology, PM Modi stressed that all party workers should actively use digital platforms, especially the NaMo App, to stay informed and connected. He said the app provides detailed information about government initiatives, including those focused on women empowerment. Schemes such as Orunodoi and Lakhpati Didi were highlighted as examples of how the government is working to improve the lives of women and families.

He also urged workers to share success stories from these schemes through digital platforms so that more people become aware of their benefits. According to him, such storytelling can inspire others and build trust among the public.

PM Modi emphasized that BJP workers are not driven solely by the goal of winning elections, but by a deeper commitment to winning the hearts of the people. He said that while addressing large rallies is common, interacting with booth-level workers is far more significant because they form the backbone of the party.

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister called on party workers to continue their efforts with dedication and honesty. He expressed confidence that their hard work would translate into stronger public support and better electoral outcomes in the future.
