India AI Summit 2026: Day 4 of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 saw significant announcements and strong global statements on the future of artificial intelligence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the “MANAV Vision” for AI governance in India, while French President Emmanuel Macron lauded India’s digital development and emphasized the need for global collaboration to define AI regulations.

Speaking to the global gathering, PM Modi said that India not only develops new technology but also adopts it at a rapid pace. He pointed out the digital evolution of India over the past decade and said that the country is now at the forefront of shaping global discourse on responsible AI development.

In his address at the summit in New Delhi, PM Modi unveiled the MANAV Vision, which is a human-centric approach to AI governance. “Today, at the New Delhi AI Impact Summit, I unveil the MANAV Vision for AI. MANAV stands for human,” the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi said that the MANAV Vision will not only be a guiding framework for India but for the global AI ecosystem as well. He said that artificial intelligence should be a tool that empowers humanity and brings down inequality, and not a source of further inequality in the form of digital divides.

The French President, Emmanuel Macron, also gave a major speech at the summit. He appreciated the digital transformation journey of India and said that it is a global benchmark. Macron said that France and India are committed to working together to shape the global AI governance framework.

“We are determined to continue to shape the rules of the game with our allies such as India,” Macron said in his speech in New Delhi. He said that it is important for democratic countries to come together to ensure that the development of AI is done in an ethical manner and with respect for human rights.

Macron’s comments are a result of the increasing cooperation between India and France in the fields of technology, innovation, and digital policies. It has been observed that the summit has further enhanced the strategic partnership between the two countries, which is no longer limited to the defense sector but also includes other advanced technology areas.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 has provided a platform for policymakers, technology leaders, researchers, startups, and international organizations. The major areas of discussion at the summit include the application of AI in the healthcare sector, climate change solutions, cybersecurity, digital public infrastructure, and responsible innovation.

However, tech philanthropist Bill Gates, who was scheduled to give a keynote speech at the summit, has not attended the event. According to reports, his absence is connected to the current controversy surrounding the release of documents about Jeffrey Epstein. There has been no official statement from the organizers about his absence.

The leadership role of India at the summit marks the increasing influence of the country in global technology governance. With one of the largest digital ecosystems in the world and an exponentially growing AI sector, India is set to become both an innovation and policy hub.

The MANAV Vision is expected to have an impact on the future of global AI regulations, according to experts. With the rapid changes that artificial intelligence is bringing about in the economy and society, the need for ethical and accountable AI development is expected to become a focus of global cooperation in the future.

Day 4 of the summit made it clear that India not only wants to be a part of the AI revolution but also wants to help shape the future of AI for the benefit of humanity.
